Xiangjiang University has engineering majors such as mechanical manufacturing and vehicle engineering, mechatronics and automatic control. Xiangjiang College of Hunan University, located in Changsha City, Hunan Province, is an independent college jointly invested and built by Mingtai Group and Hunan University and established in accordance with the Measures for the Establishment and Management of Independent Colleges of the Ministry of Education. The college will focus on undergraduate education, with graduate students and international education as its wings, supplemented by higher vocational education, and cultivate applied talents according to the needs of social and economic development.

The specialty setting is oriented to "focusing on engineering, featuring automobile and machinery manufacturing", which meets the industrial demand of Hunan Province, especially the industrial orientation of Jiuhua Economic Zone. The project covers a total area of 3,000 mu, including 2,500 mu of campus planning and 500 mu of teachers' residential project (along Binjiang Avenue to the west). It is planned to set up 20,000 independent colleges and 0/10,000 higher vocational colleges, with a total enrollment of 30,000.

This project is located in Xiangtan, Hunan, the hometown of great men. Xiangtan Jiuhua Economic Zone was established on June 6, 2003+165438. It is located in the core area of the "two-oriented society" national comprehensive reform experimental zone in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration, and is the pioneering area for the construction of "two-oriented society" in Xiangtan City. The project is located in Xiangjiang River in the east, facing Zhaoshan Scenic Area across the river, bordering Xiangtan University and Hunan University of Science and Technology in the west, Xiangtan City in the south and Changsha, the provincial capital, in the north, 2 1 km away from the center of Changsha. The Xiangjiang River ecological scenery belt runs along the east, with the Changtan Zhongheng Line and Shanghai-Kunming Railway running through the east and west, the Changtan West Expressway, Jiuhua Avenue and Binjiang Avenue running through the north and south, and the Xiangjiang River golden waterway leading to the sea.
