I have been honest since I was a child. Basically, every time I meet my parents' relatives or friends, I will say, "This child is really honest." I didn't know what this sentence meant when I was a child. I just think the word "honesty" should be a compliment, so every time I am said this, I always smile shyly to show my inner happiness. But as I get older, I gradually find that "honesty" seems to be a bad word.
I don't know when, whenever people say I'm honest, I feel uncomfortable and can only laugh awkwardly. More and more, I find that the word "honesty" and the "cunning" of "bad students" who are not good at learning have opposite meanings. In the mouth of adults, the word "cunning" began to become synonymous with "smart, flexible and clever", while the word "honest" became the meaning of "stupid, cowardly and rigid". So I later began to be extremely sensitive to the derogatory term "honesty"!
But there is no way! Honesty seems a natural thing. Is it my fault that I am honest?
I am a kind person. Sometimes I can't even bear to hurt a tiny bug or life. I think every life should be respected. I let a mouse go because I couldn't bear to kill it at the moment. Out of sympathy, I helped the beggar on the roadside and gave him some help. Is it all my fault?
It is said that honest people are more likely to suffer losses. I still believe this sentence, because honest people are too easy to consider the feelings of others. When doing something, they often have to consider whether it will hurt others or bring inconvenience to others. Therefore, honest people themselves often prefer to eat more than disturb others too much. But the ideas and practices of honest people like this are stupid to most people in society.
Later, I let it go, so why care what others say and think? As long as I feel comfortable, I will do what I want to do and soon become what I want to be.
