University of Northern Malaysia (English: University of Northern Malaysia; Malay: Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) is a public university located in Xindu Town, basu county, Kupang, Kedah, Malaysia. The school was established in February 1984. On April 23, 1998,/kloc-0 was changed into an enterprise system according to the decree of the University of Northern Malaysia.

Northern University is recognized as a dynamic public higher education institution in the world. Its purpose is to build Malaysia into a teaching and research center in management and other related fields. Northern University has made great achievements in the fields of information dissemination, management technology and quality management, and made important contributions to Malaysia's economic construction.
