The textbook College Chinese contains 43 ancient works (including poems, songs and novels), accounting for about two-thirds of all works.

Candidates should remember famous sayings, sentences and paragraphs, or remember the main idea. The 10 poems required to be recited in the examination syllabus are best copied into cards and reviewed anytime and anywhere.
