Xichang College is a university approved by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education and the State Ethnic Affairs Commission. It is located in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Xichang College has Anning Campus and Qionghai Campus, covering an area of 1.900 mu. There are 17 secondary colleges, offering majors in agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, civil engineering, mining and metallurgy engineering, mechanical engineering and medicine. The college started at 1939, and Beiyang Institute of Technology moved to Xichang to establish the National Xikang Institute of Technology. In 2003, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Xichang Agricultural College, Xichang Normal College, Liangshan University and Liangshan Education College merged to form a provincial full-time general undergraduate college; In 2020, it officially became a university established by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Education and the State Ethnic Affairs Commission.
