Weifang Institute of Technology is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education and Shandong Provincial People's Government. In June 2005, with the approval of the Ministry of Education and the Shandong Provincial People's Government, Shandong Normal University and Inspur Group jointly established Lishan College of Shandong Normal University.
2065438+June 2009, the Ministry of Education agreed to transform Lishan College of Shandong Normal University into Weifang Institute of Technology, and at the same time cancelled the establishment of Lishan College of Shandong Normal University.
In July 2020, the official website of the College showed that the College occupied an area of 1.600 mu, with a planned construction area of over 900,000 square meters. There are two campuses, of which the main campus covers an area of 1 100 mu with a planned construction area of 600,000 square meters, and the central campus covers an area of 500 mu with a planned construction area of 300,000 square meters.
