Recycling of waste tires
With the gradual improvement of people's living standards and the rapid development of logistics industry, the number of private cars and trucks in China has increased year by year. The increase in the number of cars has promoted the economic development, and at the same time, the consumption and wear of automobile tires have also produced a lot of garbage-waste tires. A few years ago, waste tires were thrown away as garbage, which greatly polluted the environment on which we lived. At this time, a new industry has quietly emerged, that is, the recycling of used tires. With the passage of time, the waste tire industry has gradually developed and formed its own complete system. According to incomplete statistics, there are currently more than 10000 employees in waste tires and related industries in China. There are unlimited business opportunities here.

There are several fates after the old tires are replaced from the car:

1. Sold to or given to tire repair masters or tire collectors or waste collectors, and then the tire repair masters and waste collectors sold them to tire collectors.

1. Those that are not badly worn (usable) are sold to drivers for continued use;

2. If the tire can be refurbished or repaired by fire, it will be sold to the tire processor for processing, and then the tire repair master will continue to use it or sell it directly to the driver;

3. Tires that are seriously worn (scrapped) will be sold to corresponding processing plants for cutting, crushing or refining, and then further processing;

4. Can be made into various rubber products directly, such as steel cord fabric, nylon cord fabric, waste tire basin, etc.

Second, China's waste tire recycling system has been relatively perfect and has begun to take shape. "If we don't take the road of recycling and make full use of the waste tires produced every year, in another 15-20 years, when the car ownership in China reaches the level of the United States, it may not be enough to sell all the natural rubber in the world to China." 10On June 35438+03, at the "20 12 China Annual Conference on Tire Renovation and Recycling and China International Technical Exchange Forum on Tire Resource Utilization" held in Qingdao, Zhu Jun, president of China Tire Renovation and Recycling Association, told reporters.

During the forum, experts and enterprises from tire retreading and recycling industries all over the country expressed their views from different angles: at present, there is still a broad space for the full utilization of waste tire resources as "urban minerals". If we can make strategic arrangements as soon as possible, accelerate the pace of development and alleviate the plight of China's lack of rubber resources, we can schedule it. Natural rubber tree is a unique species, and its distribution in China is very narrow, resulting in limited natural rubber resources in China. With the rapid development of economy, the demand for rubber resources in China is more and more urgent.

"China's external dependence on rubber is the highest among China's bulk strategic reserve materials, exceeding 70%. The consumption of rubber resources in China has increased year by year, ranking first in the world in 10, and the contradiction between supply and demand is very prominent. " Liu Shuangxi, a professor at the School of Chemistry of Nankai University, told the reporter.

In particular, Liu Shuangxi pointed out that an increasingly obvious fact has been placed in front of china rubber industry: with China becoming the largest consumer of rubber resources, the major rubber producers' alliance is trying to exclude China.

"I think that excessive dependence on imported resources will do great harm to the sustainable development of China's economy. The practice of the rubber-producing countries alliance is actually depriving China of its right to participate in international rubber production, price and market rules. " Liu Shuangxi explained.

The scarcity of natural rubber resources restricts the development of rubber industry to a certain extent, but the development and utilization of rubber renewable resources can still make up for a certain gap.

All countries in the world attach great importance to the comprehensive utilization of waste tire resources. The utilization of waste tire renewable resources can alleviate the shortage of industrial raw materials to some extent, especially in rubber, steel wire, carbon black and so on. The pollution caused by its utilization process is less than that caused by the utilization of primary resources; The use price is lower than the original resources, which can produce greater economic benefits and increase employment.

Internationally, different development stages, development models and labor prices lead to different ways of using waste tires in different countries.

According to reports, a large part of waste tires in developed countries are treated by means of heat energy utilization, waste tires renovation and export abroad, while China's treatment method focuses on material utilization, so China should strive to develop waste tires utilization technology.

Liu Shuangxi believes that the main reasons for this difference are: developed countries deal with waste tires largely from the perspective of dealing with' black garbage', so they will export some tires abroad for processing, reducing the local processing pressure, without realizing that waste tires are an important rubber resource; Many developed countries have a huge amount of tires, but a large number of tires they use are imported, so the pressure on rubber resources is not prominent; Compared with material utilization, thermal energy utilization requires less human resources, so this treatment is more economical.

In his view, although heat energy recovery can solve the problem of waste tires, from the perspective of resource utilization, a large part of rubber resources are wasted, which is not the best recycling method. Compared with developed countries, the recycling of waste tires in China is more in line with China's national conditions and international trends.

"Renewable resources must be the main source of future resources. If China can accelerate its participation in the international recycling of waste tires, it can occupy more cheap waste tire resources and alleviate the plight of china rubber's lack of resources. " Liu Shuangxi said. In fact, due to the disadvantage of natural rubber resources in China, the research and development of rubber utilization technology in China has been continuously strengthened and achieved remarkable results. Some experts assert that after the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, china rubber's industry has become a world power, and the Twelfth Five-Year Plan will be an important stage for China to become a world rubber industry power.

At present, the technical strength of research and development of waste tire renewable resources is outstanding. According to Zhu Jun, president of China Tire Renovation and Recycling Association, for example, at the end of last year, the project "Key Technologies and Demonstration of Scrap Automobile Tire Remanufacturing" jointly undertaken by Chongqing Chaoke Industrial Development Co., Ltd. and Chongqing University passed the expert review and acceptance, mastered the ultra-low temperature presulfurization technology, broke the technical monopoly of foreign companies and formed independent intellectual property rights. At the same time, the remanufacturing production line with an annual output of 500,000 used automobile tires has also been officially put into production, marking a major breakthrough in the remanufacturing technology of used tires in China.

During the forum, the reporter had the honor to visit Qingdao Rubber Valley in China. Qingdao Rubber Valley, established in 20 1 1, has a total planned area of more than 3,000 mu, of which the core area covers more than 500 mu, with a construction area of about 6,543.8+0,000 square meters. Industry-University-Research, which has built a complete industrial chain, is a high-end industrial cluster supported by trade associations, universities, scientific research institutions, well-known rubber enterprises and related intermediary services.

Qingdao Wanfang Recycling Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. was established on the basis of National Tire Technology and Control Engineering Technology Research Center, China Tire Recycling Association and Qingdao University of Science and Technology, specializing in the research and development of waste tire recycling technology and equipment, and building a global industrial platform for waste tire recycling. The person in charge of Qingdao Wanfang Recycling Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. revealed that in the field of waste tire rubber recycling, the technical level of Wanfang tire retreading has reached the international advanced level, and it has successfully entered the international market, and the retreaded tires have obtained DOT certification in the United States. The rapid development of technology has provided impetus for the development of the industry, and a new trend that deserves special attention is that the capital migration has opened the international market for china rubber's recycling industry.

The forum revealed that some china rubber enterprises have tried to "go global". For example, Sailing Company Limited has been approved to invest and set up Sailing (Vietnam) Company Limited in Vietnam. After the project is completed, it will rely on local natural rubber resources, take advantage of the policy advantages of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and the preferential bilateral trade policies between Vietnam and western developed countries to develop overseas business and expand overseas development space. Dalian Rubber & Plastic Machinery Co., Ltd. acquired Canadian Macros Mechanical Engineering Co., Ltd. on 201,and acquired 90% shares of famous European rubber machinery manufacturers on 20 12. 20 12 July, Nantong Shibake Rubber Products Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Yisheng Investment Co., Ltd. were approved by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and became pilot units for importing used tires with the efforts of the Association.

Zhu Jun said that the "Implementation Opinions on Encouraging and Guiding Private Enterprises to Actively Invest Abroad" issued on 20 12 brought new opportunities and challenges to the further development of private enterprises. Conditional industrial enterprises should make full use of "two markets and two resources" to participate in the international rubber recycling cycle and seize the commanding heights of future resources. "This is also a key work of the Association next year. Now we are conducting further research and will put forward some strategic policy suggestions. "

China Scrap Tire Network is a comprehensive website integrating scrap tire supply and demand information and the latest quotation. A new technology provides a new way for recycling waste tires. A team at Oak Ridge National Laboratory found that carbon black in old tires can be used as anode material for lithium-ion batteries by changing its microstructure. This not only means that the performance of a new generation of lithium-ion batteries will be superior, but also means that we can prevent the damage caused by the accumulation of waste tires to the environment. The laboratory is preparing to apply for the authorization of this technology, and it is very much looking forward to the lithium-ion batteries using these carbon black anode materials in automobile, electrostatic storage, medical and military applications in the future.
