The library of Yunnan Normal University has a long history and profound cultural heritage. Its predecessor was the Library of Teachers College of National Southwest Associated University, which was founded in 1938. The first curator was Yuan Fuli, the director of Peking University Library. In June of the same year, 5438+065438+ 10, teachers colleges were added and libraries were established. After War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression's victory, the three schools were demobilized and moved northward. Teachers' College was set up independently in Yunnan, renamed as National Kunming Teachers' College, and the library was renamed as National Kunming Teachers' College Library. /kloc-0 changed its name to Yunnan Normal University in April, 1984, and changed its name to Yunnan Normal University Library, which is still in use today. 1In July 1998, Yunnan Normal University was merged with Yunnan Institute of Education and Yunnan Institute of Physical Education, and libraries were set up in 12 1 campus, Xuefu Road campus and Longquan Road campus respectively. 20 12 with the further integration of the school, Xuefu Campus and Longquan Campus were successfully replaced, the libraries of the two campuses disappeared, and books were moved to Chenggong Campus Library. At present, the library consists of Chenggong main campus library and 12 1 union university campus library.

Before 1949, there was only a simple building with a civil structure of more than 500 square meters;

1954, building a brick-wood structure with an area of 2,086 square meters;

1982 7400 square meters school-based library building was completed and put into use;

Xuefu Road Campus Library was put into use on 1992, with a construction area of about 6 100 square meters.

Longquan Road Campus Library, namely Wu Xie Ruizhi Library, is a modern library, which was donated by Hong Kong patriotic entrepreneur Mr. Wu Daguan and named after his mother. 200 1 year was completed on September 1 day, with an area of about 7,200 square meters.

From June 5438 to February 2007, with the development of the school, the completion of the new Chenggong campus and the gradual relocation of the school, the library of Chenggong campus opened. Chenggong school has 68,900 square meters of book graphic information center, of which the library now uses an area of 54,000 square meters. 12 1 The library in the campus is 7600 square meters. With more than 6,000 reading seats, the library integrates collection, borrowing, reading, consultation, network communication and academic exchange, and is one of the larger libraries in domestic universities.
