The president of Zhejiang University is a deputy provincial and ministerial cadre, and the administrative level is equivalent to that of the vice governor of Zhejiang Province.

Zhejiang Normal University, located in Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province, is a comprehensive provincial-level key university featuring teacher education and the first batch of key construction universities in Zhejiang Province. It has been selected into national11/plan, excellent teacher training plan, new engineering research and practice project, education aid base of the Ministry of Education, China basic education aid training base of the Ministry of Commerce, China ASEAN Education and Training Center, scholarship receiving institution of China government for overseas students in China, top ten foreign cooperation units of Zhejiang Province, and construction unit of Zhejiang International University. The only key research base of pedagogy in Zhejiang Province has been established.
