During the revision process, the compilation team summarized the experience of the Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, adjusted the fortification intensity of the disaster area, added mandatory provisions for structural requirements such as mountain sites, infilled walls of frame structures, stairwells of masonry structures, and seismic structures, and improved the requirements for prefabricated floor structures and steel bar elongation. Since then, we have continued to carry out special research and some experimental studies, investigated and summarized the experiences and lessons of major earthquakes (including Wenchuan earthquake) at home and abroad in recent years, adopted new scientific research achievements in earthquake engineering, considered China's economic conditions and engineering reality, and extensively solicited opinions from relevant design, survey, scientific research, teaching units and earthquake-resistant management departments throughout the country. After repeated discussion, revision, enrichment and trial design, it was finalized through review.
After this revision, there are 14 chapters and 12 appendices. In addition to maintaining the local revised regulations in 2008, the main revised contents are as follows: 7-degree (0. 15g) and 8-degree (0.30g) fortification regulations are supplemented, and the design earthquake grouping is adjusted according to the ground motion parameter zoning map of China; The discrimination formula of soil liquefaction is improved; The damping adjustment parameters of seismic influence coefficient curve, the damping ratio of steel structure and the seismic adjustment coefficient of bearing capacity, and the calculation of horizontal damping coefficient of isolation structure are adjusted, which supplements the calculation method of horizontal and vertical seismic action of long-span roof buildings. The seismic design requirements of concrete frame structure houses and bottom frame masonry houses are improved; The seismic grade of steel structure residence is put forward, and the provisions of seismic measures are adjusted accordingly. The seismic measures of multi-storey masonry houses, concrete seismic wall houses and reinforced masonry houses have been improved. The application scope of isolation and energy dissipation buildings is expanded; The seismic performance-based design principle of new buildings and the seismic design regulations of long-span roof buildings, underground buildings, frame-bent workshops, steel-supported concrete frames and steel-framed reinforced concrete core tube structures have been added. The content of the inner frame brick house was cancelled.
The terms marked in bold in this specification are mandatory and must be strictly implemented.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development is responsible for the management of this Code and the interpretation of mandatory provisions, and China Institute of Building Research is responsible for the interpretation of specific technical contents. In the process of implementation, all units are requested to sum up their experiences in combination with engineering practice, and send their opinions and suggestions to the management group of National Standard Code for Seismic Design of Buildings of China Academy of Building Research, No.30 North Third Ring Road.
