Peking University's name was not Peking University from the beginning, but Shi Jing University Hall. 19 12 was changed to national Peking University, and 1937 moved south to Changsha, and together with national Tsinghua University and private Nankai University, it formed the National Changsha Temporary University. /kloc-moved to Kunming in 0/938 and changed its name to National Southwest Associated University.
1946 Demobilized to Beiping. From 65438 to 0952, it became a comprehensive university with basic disciplines of arts and sciences after the adjustment of colleges and departments in universities all over the country, and moved to its current site from beaches and other places in Beijing. In 2000, it merged with the former Beijing Medical University to form the new Peking University. In other words, it was not until 2000 that Peking University officially changed its name to Peking University.

Shi Jing University Hall was used by Peking University and Beijing Normal University from 1898 to191. As one of the "New Deal" of the Reform Movement of 1898, the school was founded on1July 3, 898. It was the first national university in modern China, and its establishment marked the beginning of modern national higher education in China.
Shi Jing University Hall is the old name used by Peking University in the late Qing Dynasty. Besides Peking University, there are other schools that can be traced back to Shi Jing University Hall. Shi Jing University Hall once held crash courses and preparatory courses. Crash courses are divided into official schools and normal schools, of which the latter is the predecessor of Beijing Normal University and Northwest Normal University today.
After Shi Jing University, a branch school was established, and the Agricultural University of Shi Jing University became one of the predecessors of China Agricultural University.
