The library of Southwest University of Science and Technology currently has a building area of 36,500 square meters, covering 14 reference rooms (with a total area of 4,788 square meters). The library is divided into two parts. The West Campus is an engineering museum focusing on engineering collection, and the East Center opened in 2003. The whole library has more than 30 reading rooms and study rooms, 4,729 reading seats (and 630 electronic and multimedia reading seats), with complete functions and excellent environment.

Sharing resources between the library and the board of directors is an important construction feature of our library. In recent years, cooperation has gradually increased, such as cooperation with the Information Center of China Academy of Engineering Physics, which has greatly improved our ability to obtain professional resources such as national defense, chemistry, physics, materials and electronics.
