Dalian International Studies University is located in Dalian, Liaoning Province. It is a provincial university in Liaoning Province and the only public foreign language university in Northeast China. The school was founded in 1964 under the kind care of Premier Zhou Enlai, and later renamed Dalian Japanese Institute, 1970 changed its name to Liaoning Foreign Studies Institute, 1974 started undergraduate education, 1978 changed its name to Dalian Foreign Studies University, and 20 13 changed its name to Dalian Foreign Studies University.
