Hohai University School of Civil Engineering and Transportation is an important part of Hohai University, which is located at the headquarters of Hohai University (No.Xikang Road 1, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province). The predecessor of the college can be traced back to the "Structural Department" and "Road Engineering Department" established by Hehai Institute of Engineering 1922. 1924, the School of Engineering of Southeast University and the School of Hehai Engineering merged to form Hehai Engineering University, with Mr. Mao Yisheng, a famous civil bridge expert in China, as the president, which laid the foundation for the development of marine civil science. 1984 set up the department of industrial and civil architecture. In 2000, it was renamed the Department of Civil Engineering. In 2000, the Department of Traffic Engineering was established. In 2003, the College of Civil Engineering was established. In 2009, it was renamed School of Civil Engineering and Transportation. 1 In the discipline ranking published by the Ministry of Education in 20 12, Hohai University ranked eighth in the country in the first-level discipline of civil engineering and nineteenth in the first-level discipline of transportation engineering, and has become one of the important teaching and research bases of civil engineering and transportation in colleges and universities in China.
