Minnan Normal University, located in Zhangzhou, a national civilized city and a famous historical and cultural city, is a key construction university in Fujian Province and a doctoral degree awarding unit. The school was developed from Longxi Teachers College in 1958, merged into Fujian Second Teachers College in 1963, and developed into Zhangzhou Teachers College in 1986.
