Southwest petroleum university
Located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, the main campus is jointly built by the Ministry of Education, Sichuan Province and China Petroleum and Natural Gas Group Co., Ltd., China Petrochemical Corporation and China Offshore Oil Group Co., Ltd. History of running a school
1958 in March, the China municipal government decided to set up the second petroleum undergraduate college, which is located in Nanchong, where the petroleum battle headquarters is located. In the same year, under the deployment of the State Council, Tsinghua University and Beijing Petroleum Institute transferred teachers and books and instruments from relevant departments to form Sichuan Petroleum Institute.
1In August, 958, the Ministry of Petroleum Industry recruited 643 freshmen with seven five-year undergraduate majors: petroleum drilling, petroleum exploitation, petroleum mining machinery, petroleum refining machinery, petroleum geology, petroleum refining and man-made petroleum.
1958 On September 20th, with the approval of the State Council, Sichuan Petroleum Institute was formally established, and the school was affiliated to Sichuan Provincial People's Committee. 1962 ~ 1970, the school belongs to the Ministry of Petroleum Industry of People's Republic of China (PRC).
