The school was founded in 1956, formerly known as Henan Chemical Engineering School. The 20 10 school was transformed into a higher vocational school and renamed as Henan Vocational College of Chemical Technology. 20 15 School merged with the former Henan Medical College and was renamed Henan Vocational College of Applied Technology.
