Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications College of Mobile Communication was established in 2000 and approved by the Ministry of Education (J.F.H. [2004] No.41). It is a full-time undergraduate independent college organized by Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. On May 2 1 2020, Chongqing Municipal Education Commission announced that the college would be actively transformed from an independent college to an ordinary undergraduate school.

The school is located in Hechuan University Town, Chongqing, with a total area of 2 1, 3 1 mu. The campus is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with beautiful environment and convenient transportation. At present, there are 9 secondary colleges, including Communication and Internet of Things Engineering College, Intelligent Engineering College, Big Data and Software College, Fine Business School and Sino-German Applied Technology College.

At present, there are more than 20,000 students in the school, and the school has full-time teachers 1085, teachers with graduate education or above 7 10, and 364 teachers with associate senior professional and technical positions or above.
