Rocket Army Engineering University is a key institution of China People's Liberation Army, one of the key institutions of the "2 1 10 Project" of the army, and one of the first batch of doctoral, master's and bachelor's degree awarding units approved by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee. Although it does not belong to 985 or 2 1 1 university, its status is not worse than 985 or 21/engineering university.
