The plant viruses, viroids and bioengineering in China were systematically studied. 1983 first reported the success of using satellite RNA to control cucumber mosaic virus. Through satellite RNA biological control agents and multi-gene disease-resistant genetic engineering varieties including satellite RNA, good effects of disease prevention and yield increase have been achieved in large-scale field application, and a new mechanism of resistance to mosaic disease besides inhibiting virus replication has been put forward. His laboratory has carried out research on ribozyme engineering, random sequence peptide library, antibody genetic engineering, genetic engineering medicine, plant genetic engineering and other aspects in bioengineering, and obtained transgenic crops with high antiviral and virus-like characteristics in vivo; Intracellular and epitope peptide libraries were constructed, and some peptides used for affinity chromatography and antivirus were screened. Several anti-tumor antibody genes were constructed and expressed. Several genetic engineering drugs have been successfully developed; Male sterile lines and restorer lines were obtained in several crops through genetic engineering, which laid the foundation for the utilization of heterosis.

He has published more than 50 papers and 5 monographs in important academic journals at home and abroad.

In the early 1960s, the composition of amylase system of different Aspergillus species which were controversial in alcohol industry at that time was analyzed and compared by paper electrophoresis, zymogram and growth spectrum for the first time in China, and the superiority of Aspergillus niger was determined. In 1960s, the pentose metabolism pathway of Geotrichum candidum was clarified, mannitol was found in Geotrichum candidum, and its synthesis pathway was found. NAP-mannitol dehydrogenase was found and purified. In 1970s, new technologies such as isoelectric focusing and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis were first established in China. In the study of monascus glucoamylase, the crystal of the enzyme was obtained for the first time, and it was found that there were conformational differences among different molecular types of the enzyme, which proved that it was caused by different glycosylation degrees (now called sugar types). Engaged in the application and basic research of various glycosidases in the 1980s. For example, the activity of bacteria producing β -amylase was leading in the world at that time, and the application of pectinase and dextran has been proved to have the effect of preventing caries, and maltotetraose amylase has the prospect of industrialization. The -D- fucosidase with strict substrate specificity was found for the first time, and five enzymes were purified from thermophilic bacteria. In 1990s, China vigorously advocated the frontier plan of sugar biology and sugar engineering, and established a sugar engineering laboratory.

3. Wei, male, was born on 193 1 year 1 month1day. Researcher, doctoral supervisor, academician of China Academy of Sciences.

1963 has been engaged in the study of the flora and classification of lichens in China, and at the same time, the systematic study of the world's omphaceae lichens has been carried out. He has organized and participated in three major projects jointly funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the State Science and Technology Commission and the China Academy of Sciences, the Beijing Air Quality Assessment Research and the World Crustacea Comprehensive Research funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, and the Tibet Lichen Research and the Terrestrial Ecosystem Research in the National 85 Key Project "The Field Peninsula Ecosystem Research in Antarctica". In addition, the literature of lichens in China was sorted out and analyzed, and some lichen groups, such as Ascomycetes, Lauraceae, Scrophulariaceae and Theaceae, were preliminarily studied. At present, he is in charge of and participates in the Sino-US cooperative project "Discontinuous Distribution and Genetic Differentiation of Lichen-type and Non-lichen-type Fungi in East Asia and North China" funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, the Academy of Sciences and the Open Laboratory of Mycolichen Systematics. Since 1990, people's attention has gradually focused on the comprehensive study of lichen phenotype and genotype. In the study of otology, the specific fragments of nuclear rDNA of lichen fungi were analyzed by RFLP, and the specific fragments of nuclear rDNA of some difficult species were sequenced. Combined with the comprehensive comparison of morphology, anatomy, chemistry and geography, the comprehensive concept of taxonomy at the level of family, genus and species of lichen in otology was further clarified.

4. Zheng Ruyong, female, was born in 193 1 year 1 month 1 day. Researcher, academician of China Academy of Sciences, doctoral supervisor, mainly engaged in systematic mycology research.

We have been committed to the rationalization and perfection of fungi classification system, and have studied fungi such as small cinder, powdery mildew and Mucor for many years. In this paper, the related genera and species of powdery mildew in China and the normal patterns of powdery mildew in the world were studied in detail, and many controversial issues in the world were clarified and revised, and a more reasonable and natural classification system of powdery mildew was published, which was recognized internationally. 1987 cooperated with others to write the first mycological record in China. In the study of Mucor, which is difficult to classify, we pay attention to the combination of morphological characteristics with physiological, biochemical and molecular biological characteristics, and the combination of asexual characteristics with sexual characteristics, and have made some meaningful breakthroughs. Attention should also be paid to the research of medical Mucor and Endophytic Mucor. * * * He has written 10 (2 major works) and published 62 papers (48 major works) in domestic and foreign academic journals and national and international conferences.

In basic scientific research, the problem of biological nitrogen fixation has been systematically studied, and the following results have been obtained: (1) In the study of the catalytic mechanism of nitrogenase, it has been proved that nitrogenase catalyzes the formation of HD, which is a universal characteristic of nitrogenase and is absolutely dependent on N2; A two-site H2 release model of nitrogenase was proposed. (2) In the study of molecular genetics of Azospira, the gene library of Azospira Brazil Yu62 strain in China was established, and the genes such as ntrBC, draTG, nifA, glnB, glnZ and flbD were cloned and sequenced, and their functions were analyzed. The genetic engineering strain with ammonium tolerance and nitrogen fixation was constructed, which can save 20% nitrogen fertilizer for maize. (3) The investigation and classification of leguminous rhizobia resources in China were started, and the database of rhizobia resources in China was established, which laid a foundation for future research.

In application research, agricultural microbial preparations such as gibberellin GA3 and GA4+7 (which can be used to promote plant growth), zearalenone and zearalanol (which can be used to promote the weight gain of cattle and sheep and is also a natural hormone of higher plants for the first time), monensin and maduramycin (which can be used to control chicken coccidia), avermectin and ivermectin (which can be used to control plant and animal parasites) have been developed successively.

A number of rhizobia germplasm resources with strong resistance were found. Two new genera and 12 new species of rhizobia were announced, which accounted for a large proportion in the international rhizobia genus and species system. A new understanding of the relationship between leguminous plants and rhizobia was obtained from the taxonomic point of view. Published more than 100 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, of which nearly 20 papers were included in SCI and cited more than 200 times; More than 50 masters and doctors have been trained. He has won two first prizes for ministerial-level scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Agriculture, two second prizes for scientific and technological progress of the State Education Commission, the first prize for excellent teaching materials of the Ministry of Agriculture 1, and the second prize for national natural science in 2006 1.
