Hangzhou Dianzi University is a teaching and research university jointly established by Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and one of the first five key universities in Zhejiang Province. It has been selected into the national "11plan", the "excellent engineer education and training plan" of the Ministry of Education, the national new engineering research and practice project, the national specialty construction site, the national graduate employment typical experience university, and the first batch of cultural campus construction pilot units in Zhejiang Province.
The school was founded in 1956, formerly known as Hangzhou Aviation Industry Finance and Economics School, and went through the periods of Hangzhou Aviation Industry School, Zhejiang Electric Machinery Institute, Zhejiang Machinery Industry School, Hangzhou Radio Industry Management School and Hangzhou Radio Industry School. 1980 Hangzhou institute of electronic technology was established with the approval of the State Council. In 2003, the original Hangzhou Publishing School was integrated and renamed Hangzhou Dianzi University in 2004. The school has been affiliated to the Second Ministry of Machinery Industry, Fourth Ministry of machinery industry, Ministry of Electronics Industry, Ministry of Information Industry and other central ministries and commissions. In 2000, the school management system established by Zhejiang Province and the Ministry of Information Industry was implemented, with Zhejiang Province as the main management. In 2007, it became a university jointly established by Zhejiang Province and the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and 20 15 was listed as a key construction university in Zhejiang Province.
