Gulangyu/Gulangyu
Gulangyu Island, the Lujiang River, which is 500 meters away from the urban area, covers an area of 1.77 square kilometers and is known as the "sea garden". Gulangyu Island was called Yuanzhouzai in ancient times, but it was renamed as "Gulangyu Island" in the Ming Dynasty because the reef cave on the southwest coast was hit by waves and sounded drums. Longtou Mountain, Flag Raising Mountain and Jim are juxtaposed on the island. The rolling mountains, blue waves, white clouds and green trees complement each other, giving people a clean and quiet feeling everywhere. The island is well preserved, with many Chinese and foreign buildings of various architectural styles, and has the reputation of "World Architecture Expo". The population of the island is about 20,000, and the residents like music. The density of piano ownership ranks in the forefront of the country and is known as Qindao. Now, Gulangyu Island is listed as a national key scenic spot. The main attractions are: Sunlight Rock, Xinzhuang Garden, Gangzai Houtan, Zheng Chenggong Memorial Hall, etc. Millions of Chinese and foreign tourists come here for sightseeing every year.
South Putuo Temple
Nanputuo Temple is under the Five Old Peaks in the south of Xiamen Island. Founded in the Tang Dynasty, it is one of the Buddhist resorts in southern Fujian. The Temple's Heavenly King Hall, Daxiong Hall and Great Compassion Hall are beautifully built and magnificent. Each hall is dedicated to Maitreya Buddha, the Buddha of the Third World, Guanyin, the Four Heavenly Kings and the Eighteen Arhats. The wonderful scene is solemn, and there are an endless stream of good men and women at home and abroad, and the incense is flourishing. Avalokitesvara with thousands of hands is exquisite in craftsmanship, with thousands of hands and thousands of eyes, glittering with gold. Buddhist cultural relics in the sutra depository are rich and colorful, including classics, Buddha statues, bronze bells in the Song Dynasty, ancient books and so on. The blood book Lotus Sutra and the famous white porcelain Guanyin in He Chaozong are the most valuable. There are many inscriptions around the temple, including the stone carvings nominated by Qian Di and Shen Yourong during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and the imperial tablet of Qingganlong. The cliff behind the temple is engraved with the word "Buddha", which is 10 foot high and 10 foot wide. Five peaks stand behind the temple, with pines and bamboos and strange rocks and valleys. It is called "Five Old Lingxiao" and is one of the eight scenic spots in Xiamen. Climbing into the distance, you can see mountains, rivers and waves.
Haicang Bridge
The first three-span fully floating reinforced suspension bridge in Asia is Xiamen West Passage, with a total length of 6,000m, a main bridge 1 108m, a clear height of 55m and a main span of 648m. A 5000-ton ship can pass freely under the bridge. It is the most modern and beautiful suspension bridge in Fujian at present.

Jimei Tourist Area is one of the four major tourist areas in Xiamen and enjoys a long-standing reputation. There are the Olympic Garden, the Return Garden and the former residence of Mr. Chen Jiageng.
Jimei Town is located on the north shore of Xiamen Island, at the intersection of Gaoji seawall and Jixing seawall. It is the only way to enter the island and the hometown of Mr. Chen Jiageng, a famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader. Mr. Chen Jiageng devoted himself to education, and successively established Jimei Normal School, Aviation College, Aquatic School, Agricultural School, Kindergarten, Primary School and Middle School here, and built a science and technology museum, library and hospital. It is a well-known overseas learning village. Mr. Chen Jiageng personally built the Olympic Garden before his death. After his death, he established a memorial hall in his former residence, and built a returning home garden and a bronze statue. Mr Chen Jiageng's mausoleum is also located in Aoyuan. Jimei also has the place where Zheng Chenggong stationed troops, and the old base area of Yanping, the site of Jimei Village.
The Austrian Garden was built on the old site of the Austrian Palace by Mr. Chen Jiageng on 1950, hence the name "Austrian Garden". There is the Jimei Liberation Monument inscribed by Mao Zedong in the garden. Chen Jiageng wrote an inscription on the back. The base has two floors, eight floors at the bottom and three floors at the top, symbolizing the eight-year war of resistance and the three-year war of liberation, so as to show future generations that victory is hard to come by. The base circle is composed of blue stone carvings and finely carved reliefs, which embodies the exquisite skills and unique style of Minnan stone carvings and is a natural history.
Chen Jiageng's former residence is located in Jiageng Road, Jimei Town, and it is still the same today, for people to visit and mourn. Mr. Jia Geng was thrifty all his life, with simple articles for daily use and simple clothes, which touched all the viewers. On the west side of his former residence, the life story of Mr. Chen Jiageng is on display.

Adjacent to the ferry terminal, near the bank of Lujiang River, the stone chairs in the park at night and the short columns of stone benches around them are packed. People can watch the grand gathering of giant ships and the racing of boats, as well as the neon lights on both sides of the Lujiang River, and enjoy the scenery of the "Lujiang Night Fire".
Huandao Binhai boulevard
Located in the east of Xiamen Island, the roundabout is a leisure and sightseeing road. According to different terrain, the designed road is 44-60m wide, with four lanes and asphalt pavement. Take a sea sightseeing trip and have a panoramic view of the coast of Jinmen and Xiamen. You can also visit Nanputuo Temple, Xiamen University, Hu Lishan Fort and International Convention and Exhibition Center along the way.

Zhangzhou Tulou and Six Subtropical Rainforests in Niu Shan
When you travel to Nanjing, the first thing you see is Zhangzhou Tulou. Zhangzhou Tulou originated from the military camp of Chen Yuanguang in the Tang Dynasty, and the most complete existing one is in Nanjing. There are more than 300 in Shuyang Township alone. The most attractive of these earth buildings are Meihua Building and Zhuangyuan Building. Of course, Niu Shan's six sub-tropical rainforests are also must-see attractions. It is 75 kilometers away from Zhangzhou, with an average elevation of 200 meters. It is a typical subtropical rare virgin forest. One of the rarest plants is Alsophila spinulosa, which is a national first-class protected plant.
