Jinan University, referred to as JNU, is the first overseas Chinese university founded by the state in China. It is a university directly under the central government and directly led by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, and is known as "China No.1 Overseas Chinese School". The school is a key university under the national "2 1 1 Engineering" and "985 Engineering Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform". It has been selected into the national "11plan", "20 1 1 plan", "excellent doctoral education and training plan of the Ministry of Education", "excellent legal talents education and training plan", the key research base of humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of Education, and the national master's degree program of building high-level universities.
