195 1 year enjoyed the Roche Scholarship to study in Oxford University, England, and obtained the Master of Arts degree. In 1950s, Hall co-founded two important left-wing publications, University and Left-wing Review and New Left-wing Review.

From 65438 to 0958, he was the editor-in-chief of New Left Review.

1964- 1979 at the invitation of Hoggart, he served as the acting director of the Center for Contemporary Cultural Studies (CCCS) of Birmingham University, England, and later became the director.

1979- 1997 Professor of Sociology, Open University of England. 1997 After retirement, Hall was appointed as a member of the British Lanimede Committee; As the chairman of two diaspora cultural groups "Signature" and "International Visual Art Center", the Lailington International Visual Art Museum, which belongs to these two cultural groups, was grandly opened in London on June 3, 2007. Hall advocates "cultural equality and racial justice".
