The senior high school affiliated to Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics was formerly the "Children's School of the Republic of China Air Force" founded by General Zhou Zhirou in 1934, located in Jianqiao Central Aviation School in Hangzhou.

1937 After the July 7th Incident, the Children's School of the Republic of China Air Force moved to Chengdu and was renamed as the Children's School directly under the Aviation Commission.

1945, the "Children's School Directly under the Aviation Committee" was moved from Chengdu to Nanjing with the troops and built in Ba Futang, Baixia Road.

Nanjing Education Bureau and Nanjing Institute of Aeronautics signed the Agreement on Joint Running of China Southern Airlines Senior Middle School, and the former Nanjing No.7 Middle School was renamed as "Affiliated Middle School of Nanjing Institute of Aeronautics". At the end of the same year, the school was rated as a civilized unit in Nanjing.

In 2004, "Senior Middle School Affiliated to Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics" was renamed as "Senior Middle School Affiliated to Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics", and a high school was established independently.
