Yangzhou University, referred to as "Yang Da", is located in Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. It is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and the Ministry of Education, a key comprehensive university in Jiangsu Province, a Class A construction university under the high-level university construction peak plan in Jiangsu Province, the first batch of doctoral and master's degree awarding units in China, the first university in China to merge schools, the Jiangsu-UK High-level University Alliance, the Eurasian-Pacific University Alliance and other member units. Selected into the national "11plan", outstanding agricultural and forestry personnel education and training plan, new engineering research and practice project, and China government scholarship to receive foreign students in China.

The school's predecessor was Tongzhou Normal School and Tonghai Agricultural School, which were founded by Mr. Zhang Jian, a famous industrialist and educator in modern times from 65438 to 0902. During the adjustment of departments in China from 65438 to 0952, its departments of literature and history and agriculture moved to Yangzhou to run schools, becoming the predecessors of Yangzhou Normal University and Jiangsu Agricultural College. 1992 With the approval of the State Education Commission, Yangzhou University was formed by the merger of Yangzhou Normal College, Jiangsu Agricultural College, Yangzhou Institute of Science and Technology, Yangzhou Medical College, Jiangsu Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Jiangsu Business School.
