The School of Economics of Nanjing University has four departments, namely, the Department of Economics, the Department of International Economics and Trade, the Department of Finance and Insurance and the Department of Industrial Economics, and the Institute of Population Studies. It has research institutions such as the Yangtze River Delta Economic and Social Development Research Center of Nanjing University, the Hundred Key Research Bases of Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, and the Cultural Industry Research Institute of Nanjing University, the key research base of the Ministry of Culture, as well as the National 985 Philosophy and Social Sciences Innovation Platform, the Economic Development and Transformation Research Center and the national-level economic basic talent training base. The School of Economics has four undergraduate majors, nine master's programs (including the Institute of Population Studies), the right to award doctoral degrees in the first-level disciplines of theoretical economics and applied economics, eight doctoral programs in two disciplines, two postdoctoral mobile stations, and 1 national key disciplines.
