Experience sharing of biology postgraduate entrance examination in Tianjin Medical University

Nice to meet you. I think you are still studying hard even if the epidemic is stopped. I hope you are firm in your ideals, not proud, not inferior, confident, strong, brave and hardworking ... and you will succeed. Go ashore. Go ashore.

My total score is 395, politics 79, English 77, cell biology 132, molecular biology 107, ranking first in my major.

When I set up a good school in March, my junior year was very nervous last semester, so I would use my trivial time to prepare for the postgraduate entrance examination. I didn't prepare for the exam well at that time, so I gave you the summarized suggestions directly.

First, the initial test:

English:

Materials used: Romance+Yellow Book (true questions of English postgraduate entrance examination in recent 20 years)+Nine steps for Pan Yun to get high marks in English postgraduate entrance examination+some supporting handouts for online courses for English postgraduate entrance examination teachers.

Video used: Liu Xiaoyan grammar lesson video+Tang Chi's real reading explanation video+Kao Chong's composition video+Tang Jing's translation video+Pan Wei's composition live class+Li Yuji's new topic video.

The general process: recite the words, read the long and difficult sentences in grammar at the same time, and then start to do the real questions! At the same time, listen to the teacher's online class!

Words are the core part of learning English. From the day you decide to take the postgraduate entrance examination, don't fall behind in memorizing words. Recite 200-300 words every day until the day before the postgraduate entrance examination.

Words: I have been reading Love Story unit by unit with Zhu Wei's part of speech every day since March. After reading it for half a month, my feeling is that there are too many jokes by Mr. Zhu Wei. Sometimes a third of a class is bragging, and I have followed the drama for three generations, so I didn't watch it much. I felt like I didn't remember anything, and then I stopped watching. In April, I suddenly felt that there was no time. If you can't play, you won't recite words from the video, which is a bit time-consuming. Instead, I recite ink words every day, two or three hundred times a day, and always recite love words twice, tossing and turning. In addition, there are words that must be memorized, which is the most critical word. In this regard, when I brush the real questions for the first time, I will list all the words I can't learn in my notebook and recite them.

Grammar: It is really easy to understand Xiaoyan's grammar class while reciting words in early June, but Jing Tian's grammar class is also highly recommended! Either of the two teachers can look at their personal preferences. They both speak very well. After reading it, they can basically master long and difficult grammar sentences!

Of course, you can't just watch the video. Taking notes and reviewing long and difficult sentences that you don't understand in the future will save a lot of time and improve learning efficiency.

Reading: When you have absorbed all the words and grammar lessons in a down-to-earth way, you can start to read the real questions (watch Tang Chi's video! ), reading is to be able to read. If you want to read, you must first know the words, then analyze the long and difficult sentences, then read a paragraph and finally understand the whole article.

When you brush the real questions for the first time, you can only brush the reading questions and do one every day. Don't just ask for more Don't be afraid of your slow progress. Every reading is very valuable. You should cherish the resources of real questions, not finish them all at once. When you do it for the first time, you can do it from time to time at the beginning, and you can understand the sentence thoroughly after you finish it. After I finish writing an article, I will translate it myself. After reading the real questions for the first time, I will brush the second reading, new questions, translation and cloze, so in general, I will brush the real questions at least twice, and the rest of the new questions, translation and cloze at least once.

Translation follows teacher Tang Jing's translation class, which is very nuanced!

The new questions given by Li See Yuji are very good and the methods are complete! Liu Xiaoyan's method is similar to that of Li Yuji. Teacher Li Yufei's resources are not easy to find. You can also visit Liu Xiaoyan. Liu Xiaoyan should be summed up according to teacher Li Yuji's method, so two people can see anyone.

Composition: After reading Pan Yun's Jiugongge skills, Pan Yun will give many templates and just fill in the words! I also watched the online class of teacher Shi Leipeng, the exam bug, which was very good! You can combine the two to sum up your own template!

The small composition is relatively simple. I also watched Mr. Shi Leipeng's composition class, which was basically enough. After listening to his class, I will have a writing idea of a small composition, and I will know how to write it when I get to the examination room!

politics

From August or early September, just search for videos of Xu Tao or Xiao Xiurong, buy corresponding teaching materials, and take notes while watching videos.

Centralized politics is not very effective, nor is decentralized centralization very effective. It takes about two or three hours a day, and there will be many pamphlets later, such as current affairs. You must buy the essence of the brochure and read a chapter to do the corresponding 1000 question. Don't turn over the books yet. When finished, check the answers, find the source of the wrong book and highlight it for review. Later, Xiao Lao wrote four questions about Xiao Xiao. These sets of questions should be done carefully, and only these questions are enough. If you have time, you can recite four questions, but you don't have time to recite four questions directly. Political multiple-choice questions should be done repeatedly, with the focus on the wrong questions, remember and understand.

molecular biology

My suggestion is to start with this specialized course, especially for cross-candidates who need biochemical knowledge to lay the foundation. There are three reference books: Zhu Shenggeng's fourth edition of Biochemistry (up and down),

Zhu Yuxian's Modern Molecular Biology.

This course is divided into three parts: static biochemistry, metabolic biochemistry and molecular biology.

The first study is the most difficult. It is normal that progress is slow and easy to forget. I'll be up soon in the back. I integrated all the materials I collected, such as online classroom videos, reference books, senior notes, counseling books, etc., and integrated my notes. The speed is very slow, and you can only learn one or two chapters a day.

You must take notes and outline this specialized course. It is very helpful for you to form a knowledge framework and know the scope of this course. Because three books are so thick and heavy, a knowledge point will describe many pages in detail or be scattered in different parts of the book.

Moreover, the second volume of modern molecular biology and biochemistry has many overlapping parts. It's hard to recite later if you don't take notes. I have to finish two books.

The knowledge framework will be formed from the second time. It's like remembering a title. You may not remember the details of this stage, but you should know that static biochemistry includes sugar, fat, amino acids, protein and nucleic acids. Glycometabolism includes glycolysis, tricarboxylic acid cycle, oxidative phosphorylation, photosynthesis, glyoxylic acid cycle, gluconeogenesis, glycogen decomposition and synthesis. In addition, the real questions will be analyzed at this stage. Only when you see the real questions will you know what the key points are, which knowledge points to memorize and which chapters are basically not tested. Three books are so thick, we must pay attention to the key points.

Three times, four times, five times, six times and seven times, there is nothing to say. Recite it. Some knowledge points that have appeared in real questions can be turned over to make their answers informative and informative.

727 Cell Biology (including genetics 20%)

Genetics has been added for 20 years, and the reference books have changed from one to two: Genetics by Liu Zudong and Cell Biology by Zhai Zhonghe.

A book of cell biology has more than 300 pages, with concentrated knowledge points, clear chapter framework, color printing and good paper quality. So my suggestion for this course is to draw directly on the book and hold the back of the book. After all, the purpose of taking notes is to make it easy for you to remember. If the book itself is easy to recite, there is no need to waste precious time writing notes.

When reviewing for the first time, you can write the real questions directly in the position corresponding to the knowledge points in the book. When drawing a book, just mark the main points and answer them. You can also look at the online courses supporting cell biology, and there are animations to deepen your understanding.

There are some big chapters, such as chapter 9 and chapter 10, so I suggest that I organize the framework myself. Very easy to remember.

If you don't learn genetics well, you won't be bossing around. So far, there are only two real questions, and the law is not clear. I can only see that there are no calculation problems as always, and try not to overlap with molecular biology.

Second, the second interview

If it is said that 70% of the study accumulation and 30% of the examination room play are needed to get a high score in the initial examination of the postgraduate entrance examination, then the second examination of the postgraduate entrance examination is 80% of improvisation and 20% of knowledge accumulation.

(A) Etiquette image

It goes without saying that you are clean and tidy, and more importantly, your overall image should make you look like a student. Politely speaking, this is also necessary, knocking at the door, thanking you and so on. The aura, to be honest, can't be cultivated in a day or two. At least be confident during the second interview, even if you pretend to be confident. When you meet a mentor, you should be mature and steady, and use less modal particles. Network language is a taboo.

(2) English

I don't know how to emphasize the importance of English. Someone told me before, don't worry too much about English, because most of the interviewees were people in their forties and fifties, and their English was not good at that time. But this is really not the case. In a slightly better school, almost all the instructors who participated in the interview were turtles. After staying abroad for many years, they can make academic reports in fluent English.

Therefore, you should learn English well. You go in, speak standard and fluent English, and you succeed in an instant. As for the re-examination of professional English, we should take the time to read more documents and recite more professional vocabulary.

(3) Specialized courses

Professional basic skills and knowledge will definitely be examined in the second interview, but the examiner's questions are uncertain, which stems from the usual accumulation and surprises. Be sure to carefully prepare your usual experiments and graduation thesis, and there is a high probability that you will be asked in the second interview. The contents of preparation include the purpose of the experiment, the design of experimental ideas, the current progress, difficulties and proposed solutions. You must be able to describe everything related to your graduation thesis or experiment logically and clearly, and make sure that you don't get dizzy when you ask questions.

The tutor selected for the newspaper must read the Chinese and English papers in recent three years, analyze his own advantages in combination with the research direction of the tutor, and tell the tutor what you can bring to his research group. The so-called know yourself and know yourself.

It is not easy for undergraduates to sort out the research objectives, ideas, advantages and innovations in their tutor's papers, but they can go further and make themselves stand out from their opponents-find out what can be improved in their tutor's papers and give their tutors ideas for the next step. As long as the students who can do this step have no particularly serious mistakes in other aspects, the success of the second interview is almost inevitable.

(4) Comprehensive interview

Remember to answer the tutor's questions directly, answer the questions when you ask, answer the results when you ask, and never ask the results to answer the reasons. This will make others think that you are picky. For example, when the tutor asks you if you have passed CET-6, you say "No, but I have realized the importance of English and I will try my best", instead of saying "I am too busy to take the exam".

During the second interview, the tutor likes to ask "Why did you choose me as a graduate student" or "Why did you choose me as a tutor". It's not enough to answer such a question just because I'm interested in your direction, but also to answer "because your research field needs a student like me" from the standpoint of a tutor combined with your own advantages and professional background. Such an answer will narrow the distance with the tutor and guide the tutor to ask you some questions about his research direction.

Sometimes the tutor will ask, "What if I don't pass the exam?" In fact, asking this question doesn't mean that you can't pass the exam. The tutor wants to examine the students' psychological quality. I heard that some candidates answered "success or death." This kind of student's tutor dares to do it, and the probability of failure in the experiment is high, and it is not bad to "die" at every turn. You can answer, "I will take the exam for another year, but after I fail, I will take the initiative to talk to the teacher to find out where my weaknesses are compared with other students, and then make targeted checks to fill the gaps, hoping to be admitted next year."

Three. Summary and suggestions

If you have already started the postgraduate entrance examination, that would be great. You can do it according to your own plan. If you just think about it now, you must race against time, but don't be too stressed. These are just suggestions. According to personal circumstances. Also, pay attention to rest, keep sleeping and be healthy is king. It is recommended to go out for one day every two weeks as a reward for relaxing and completing tasks.

For the postgraduate entrance examination, I want to say that although we choose the postgraduate entrance examination for different reasons, once we make up our minds, we must be firm and unswerving. Because the postgraduate entrance examination is not just an ordinary exam, we are at the crossroads of life. Choosing the postgraduate entrance examination is equivalent to choosing a direction of our future life. It is the first dangerous peak and the first experience on our future road. Although I will encounter many difficulties on the way to the postgraduate entrance examination, I have been confused, afraid and at a loss, but when you persist and go all out, when all the dust settles, you will find that your future life is suddenly enlightened and everything is worth it. Come on, take the postgraduate entrance examination!
