In the previous classification, puffball was classified as a class of Gastrobacteriaceae or Gastrobacteriaceae, but in the latest classification, they are actually a combination of multiple groups. What they have in common is that they all have a closed fruiting body, which produces spores. Their spores are not sporozoites like other mushrooms, but stable spores, that is, they will not be thrown out when the fruiting body matures.
Lasiosphaera may have evolved from Agaricus, and now they are no longer considered to belong to the same class.
Lasiosphaera includes Calvatia, Lycoperdon and Calbovista]. The fungi of the genus Cladosporium generally have no stipe, and only Cladosporium nigrum has purple sporogens similar to stipe.
The largest puffball found at present is1.5m long, reaching 22kg, which is equivalent to the weight of a 6-year-old child.
