In April, 20001year, the physics departments (rooms) of Jilin University, Jilin University of Technology, Bethune Medical University, changchun university of science and technology and Changchun University of Posts and Telecommunications merged to form a brand-new College of Physics of Jilin University. There are condensed matter physics department, optical information science and technology department, applied physics department, acoustics and microwave physics department and physical experiment center, public physics teaching and research center, theoretical physics research center, physical experiment center, nuclear science and technology research center and physical application development center.
