There are two universities in Lijiang. There are two universities in Lijiang, namely Lijiang Cultural Tourism College and Lijiang Teachers College. Lijiang Cultural Tourism College is the only undergraduate college in northwest Yunnan, and Lijiang Teachers College is a provincial public full-time ordinary college approved by the Ministry of Education.
