The latest development of water-based lithium battery system
Lithium batteries have another research direction. Wu Yuping, a professor at Fudan University's New Energy and Materials Laboratory, said that at present, lithium water batteries have been made into analog batteries, but the capacity is still very small.

Lithium water battery is one of the frontiers and directions of lithium battery research and development. The core problem is how to prevent lithium ion from reacting with water at low potential, and ceramic diaphragm becomes the key technology. Theoretically, lithium water battery has high energy density and energy efficiency as high as 95%. Electric vehicles equipped with lithium-ion batteries can travel 400 kilometers when fully charged, but the charging time is very short. In addition, the lithium water battery is not easy to generate heat in use, and the safety performance is higher.

The analysis shows that this technology improves the energy density and is expected to solve the problems of high battery cost, short battery life and long charging time of electric vehicles. But at present, the research and development of this technology has only achieved a breakthrough in principle and has been verified in the laboratory. Moreover, the battery capacity currently developed is too small, and only the successful development of large-capacity batteries has substantive significance.
