In 2020, the Royal Birmingham Conservatory of Music ranked 5 1 in the QS World University Performing Arts Ranking. In the Guardian University ranking of 20 18, the Royal Birmingham Conservatory of Music ranked third. Since 20 19, it has been the British Conservatory of Music with the highest satisfaction in NSS (National Student Survey) for three consecutive years. Royal Birmingham Conservatory of Music, formerly known as Birmingham Conservatory of Music, is affiliated to Birmingham City University. On September 25th, 20 17, after merging with Birmingham Academy for Performing Arts, it was officially awarded a royal title by the British royal family and became a member of the Royal Conservatory of Music.
The College is a member of the British Music Association and the European Music Association, and keeps close contact with many music institutions such as Birmingham City Symphony Orchestra.
