Nankai University China Language and Culture College
China Language and Culture College of Nankai University is a national base for teaching Chinese as a foreign language, which was established in 1993. It is one of the key educational units for foreign students in Nankai University and one of the eight national bases for teaching Chinese as a foreign language approved by the Ministry of Education. The college actively carries out extensive and in-depth international exchanges and cooperation, and constantly explores new modes of international cooperation in running schools. A large number of gratifying scientific research achievements have been achieved, which have provided China language and culture exchange and research for students at home and abroad.
Nankai University
The College of Literature has four departments, including China Language and Literature Department, Oriental Art Department, Communication Department, Art Design Department, Cultural Quality Teaching Department, China Classical Culture Research Institute, China Philology Research Center, Vocabulary and Dictionary Research Center, Comparative Linguistics Research Center, Oriental Aesthetic Culture Research Center, Color and Public Art Research Center, and five teaching and research centers. According to the Catalogue of Disciplines and Specialties for Awarding Doctoral and Master's Degrees and Training Postgraduates issued by the State Council Academic Degrees Committee and State Education Commission 1997 and implemented in 1999, the newly established College of Literature corresponds to the disciplines of literature and art, covering five first-class disciplines of China, namely, language and literature, journalism and communication, and design.
