Capital Normal University was founded in 1954, formerly known as Beijing Normal University. 1992 was formed by the merger of Beijing Normal University, Beijing Normal University Branch, Beijing Union University Foreign Language Teachers College and Beijing Union University Vocational and Technical Teachers College.
