University Town Hospital affiliated to Chongqing Medical University is a non-profit comprehensive teaching hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health care. It is the only large-scale public health service institution in the western new town. According to the planning and construction of the national third-class first-class hospital, the planned number of beds is10.5 million. The University Town Hospital affiliated to Chongqing Medical University started planning at the end of 2007 and started construction in May 2009.

After more than two years of construction, the hospital officially went to the hospital on1October 201110. University Town Hospital affiliated to Chongqing Medical University is the designated medical institution of basic medical insurance for urban workers in Chongqing, as well as the designated medical institution of cooperative medical care for urban and rural residents and the designated medical unit of maternal and child health care in Chongqing.

20 12 University Town Hospital of the Affiliated Hospital of Heavy Medicine was approved by Chongqing Municipal Health Bureau to become a standardized training base for residents in Chongqing and a mental health research center in Chongqing.
