The school was founded in 1953, confirmed as a national key university in 1960, and renamed as Petroleum University in 1988, gradually forming a pattern of running schools in Shandong and Beijing. /kloc-0 officially entered the first batch of national "2 1 1 project" in 1997. In June 2005, the school was renamed China Youshi University. As of July, 20021year, the school has two campuses, Qingdao and Dongying, with a total campus area of 5,024 mu and a building area of10.4 million square meters.
