Not all universities in Beijing are free of charge. The object of free medical care is students who are provided with free medical care by the state. After registration, students can enjoy it for free. However, except for a few universities such as Beijing and Shanghai, the medical insurance of most universities in China has been incorporated into the local medical insurance system for urban and rural residents. Therefore, college students in Beijing are not all free medical care, and most of them belong to urban and rural residents' medical insurance. Free medical care refers to a social security system implemented by the state to protect national staff and provide free medical care and preventive services to those who enjoy it through medical and health departments in accordance with regulations. According to the regulations, the treatment standards of basic medical insurance for employees, new rural cooperative medical care and basic medical insurance for urban residents shall be implemented in accordance with state regulations.
