South China Normal University, headquartered in Guangzhou, is a university jointly founded by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education. It is the first batch of national "world-class discipline construction universities" and national "2 1 1 project" key construction universities. The school has four campuses: Guangzhou Shipai, Guangzhou University Town, Foshan Nanhai and Shanwei.
At present, the school has 20 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 1 doctoral degree authorization points, 33 first-level discipline master degree authorization points, 18 master degree authorization points, 85 undergraduate majors, 18 postdoctoral mobile stations, and the discipline layout covers 12 categories except military science. In the fourth round of discipline evaluation by the Ministry of Education, four disciplines such as psychology, pedagogy, Marxist theory and physical education were rated as Class A disciplines, among which psychology was rated as A+.
