Dongchang College of Liaocheng University, referred to as Dongchang College for short, is an application-oriented full-time undergraduate institution of higher learning approved by the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Education. The school is an independent college approved by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education in April 2002.

In June 2005, Liaocheng University cooperated with Shandong Quanlin Group and was reconfirmed as an independent college by the Ministry of Education. In August 2005, Dongchang College of Liaocheng University merged with Liaocheng Education College and Liaocheng Teachers College to form a new Dongchang College of Liaocheng University.

Relying on the comprehensive strength of Liaocheng University, the School of Extended Materials inherits the excellent style of study and teaching of Liaocheng University. At present, there are 357 faculty members, including full-time teachers 160, part-time teachers 158 and associate professors 169, all of whom are selected by Liaocheng university, which ensures the education and teaching ability of the college.
