Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, founded in 1956, is one of the first four universities of traditional Chinese medicine in New China. The school, formerly known as Chengdu College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, 1985, was identified as a provincial key institution of higher learning by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. 1995 was renamed Chengdu university of traditional Chinese medicine, and 20 17 was selected as the first batch of "double-class" world-class discipline construction universities in China.
