1947 Hejiang Military Region Health Cadre School was established. 1958 the school became an undergraduate college. 1980, the school began to recruit graduate students. Jiamusi Normal School was founded in 1949. School 1978 was upgraded to Jiamusi Teachers College. Jiamusi Institute of Technology was founded in 1958. 1985, Jiamusi University was founded.

65438-0995 With the approval of the former State Education Commission, Jiamusi University was formed by the merger of Jiamusi Medical College, Jiamusi Institute of Technology, Jiamusi Teachers College and the former Jiamusi University. Jiamusi University officially launched 1996. In 2000, Jiamusi Grain Cadre School merged. In 2003, Fujin Normal School and Heilongjiang Industrial School merged.
