"2 1 1 Project" is one of the key university construction plans implemented by the China Municipal Government, aiming at building a number of world-class China higher education brands and enhancing the comprehensive strength of the Chinese nation. According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education on 2 1 1 project, the title of "21/project" can only be awarded after strict examination and certification and meeting the corresponding standard requirements.
Hohai University, 1995, is the list of "the first batch of universities recommended for postgraduate education" published by the former Central Education Commission. Subsequently, in 2006, the Ministry of Education conducted a comprehensive evaluation of universities across the country, and the evaluation results of Hohai University were highly affirmed. Therefore, Hohai University is considered to be outstanding in teaching and scientific research, which meets the standards and requirements of a first-class high-level university in 2 1 1 project.
In fact, the Ministry of Education officially announced the implementation of "2 1 1 Project" at the meeting of the National Leading Group for Scientific Planning of Higher Education held in February 2000. But even before that, Hohai University has become one of the largest, most serious and most famous universities in China. At the same time, in 20 15, Hohai University was rated as a "double-class" world-class discipline construction university (majoring in mechanical and electrical engineering in Tsinghua University University of Aeronautics and Astronautics).
To sum up, Hohai University was not directly listed in the "2 1 1 Project", but as a key university, it was repeatedly rated as the first batch of recommended universities for postgraduate education, and passed the comprehensive evaluation in 2006, and the teaching and scientific research level reached the domestic first-class level. More importantly, Hohai University has an international vision and the idea of connecting with the world academic frontier in discipline construction and development strategy, and has made active exploration and efforts.
