If you give up your original China nationality and become a foreign citizen, you must meet the requirements stipulated in the document 2020 12 of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Ministry of Education before you can apply to study in Tsinghua.
The application process is as follows:
Step 1: Apply online:
1) Apply for the system to create an account online;
2) Fill in the application form during the application period;
3) Upload files as required;
4) Submit the application online and pay the application fee (800 yuan RMB).
Step 2: Comprehensive evaluation:
1) application review: the submitted application is reviewed by the admissions officer;
2) Comprehensive examination: Applicants who pass the application review will be admitted to take the comprehensive examination. Art applicants will be informed before the exam. Applicants applying for the construction industry will pass the portfolio review.
The admission decision is based on the comprehensive evaluation of high school grades, language proficiency, auxiliary materials and comprehensive tests (if applicable).
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
1. 1 foreign citizen, healthy in body and mind, graduated from high school.
1.2 academic performance
Excellent academic performance. Proof shall be provided through (but not limited to) the following documents:
1.2. 1 high school/university transcripts (if applicable) (in Chinese or English)
1.2.2 National Graduation Examination/Preparatory Examination Certificate.
1.2.3 international standard test scores (such as SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB/ others).
1.2.4 Other auxiliary materials.
1.3 Language ability:
1.3. 1 HSK level of Chinese is above 5, and the score of single subject is above 60. The Chinese proficiency can reach HSK Band 4 (with a score of 60 or above in a single subject), but the applicant must be promoted to Band 5 or above in the first academic year in Tsinghua University, with a score of 60 or above in a single subject. Students who fail to meet the requirements will be asked to leave Tsinghua University. Applicants whose mother tongue is Chinese, or who can provide proof of attending a senior high school with Chinese as the medium of instruction, can apply for exemption from HSK through the online application system and report to Tsinghua University for further examination and approval.
1.3.2 Good English language skills. For non-native English speakers, please provide English language test scores (such as TOEFL/IELTS/others).
1.4 18 years old or older (before 202 1 September1). /kloc-applicants under the age of 0/8, please bring relevant documents to the official registration office (see the list of documents uploaded in the online registration system for details).
1.5 shall meet the conditions stipulated in document No.2020 12 of the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC).
