Beijing Institute of Printing, affiliated to Beijing, is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning founded by the former State Press and Publication Administration and Beijing Municipal People's Government. The school's predecessor was the Cultural College established by the Ministry of Culture 1958. 196 1 The School of Culture was abolished and the printing technology department was merged into the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts (now Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts).
