Shantou University currently has nine colleges, including Zhicheng College, Hongyi College, Siyuan College, Zhixing College, Shude College, Xiu Yuan College, Lean College, Mingde College and Dexin College. Among them, Shude College is the first women's college funded by Li Ka-shing Foundation. The origin of this name is obviously inspired by the modern "Shude Girls' School" in Shantou.

The goal of the college is to promote the all-round development of female students and become talents with international vision, social responsibility, innovative spirit, communication and cooperation, independent thinking and self-confidence to meet more challenges.
