In fan culture, ml Party and cp Party often appear in fan works, fan novels and fan websites, depicting different character relationships and emotional states. Ml Party usually refers to a character having a relationship with two or more opposite sex characters at the same time, while cp Party refers to a fixed collocation or relationship between two or more characters.
Although ml Party and cp Party are very important in fan culture, they are not official concepts, nor are they concepts that will appear in all fan works. Fan culture is a very subjective cultural form. Different people have different preferences and opinions, so different people may have different understandings and uses of the concepts and terms in fan culture.
Original and secondary creation
Because many comic fan works are re-created based on characters in commercial comics (also called re-creation), in daily vocabulary, for convenience, "fans" are widely used to refer to literary or artistic works in which fans re-create characters in specific literature, animation and film and television works, and the plot has nothing to do with the original works, that is, fan novels and fan paintings. However, "Fan" is not necessarily re-creation, but also original.
Original model refers to completely original non-commercial works.
Second-time fan refers to adaptation or re-creation based on the characters, plots, words and music of other existing commercial works or other original or second-time fan works. These works are called derivative works.
