The School of Preschool Education and Special Education of East China Normal University was established in September, 1997. It was formed by merging the pre-school education major and the special education major of the Department of Education and Psychology of East China Normal University with the former Shanghai Preschool Teachers College and the former Shanghai Lin Nan Normal School. It is an important base for pre-school education and special education personnel training and scientific research in China.
