Harbin Railway Institute is the abbreviation of Harbin Railway Vocational and Technical College, and its predecessor is one of the earlier institutions established in * * * and China. College was founded in 1959, formerly Harbin Railway Engineering School. 1989 Harbin Engineering Workers College merged and developed into a national key technical secondary school. In 2002, with the approval of Heilongjiang Provincial People's Government and the record of the Ministry of Education, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college. The College is affiliated to China Railway Engineering Corporation, a fortune 500 enterprise in the world. It was jointly founded by the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province and China Railway Third Engineering Group Corporation, and it is the only directly affiliated higher vocational college of the Group Corporation.
