The Medical College of Shanghai Jiaotong University is jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. Ranked in 2 1 1 project and 985 project, and selected into the first batch of excellent doctoral education and training programs in China. It is the academic leader unit of the National Clinical Skills Experimental Demonstration Center.

Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, formerly known as Shanghai Second Medical College, was formed by the merger of St. John's University School of Medicine, Aurora University School of Medicine and Tongde Medical College 1952 when the departments of colleges and universities in China were adjusted. 1985, renamed Shanghai Second Medical University. 1997, the school adopted the project of 2 1 1.

On July 18, 2005, Shanghai Jiaotong University merged with Shanghai Second Medical University to establish the Medical College of Shanghai Jiaotong University, which was jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and entered the ranks of 985 universities. On 20 10, 1 1 year 10, the college became one of the first ten key universities jointly established by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education.

Design Meaning The LOGO design of Shanghai Jiaotong University Medical College uses blue as the main color. Blue has always been a common color in school signs, symbolizing wisdom, composure and reason, which is consistent with the educational image of the school.
